1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Starlight laundry services (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.
2. Service Description
Starlight provides on-demand laundry and dry cleaning services through our mobile application. Our services include:
- Pickup and delivery of laundry items
- Washing, drying, and folding services
- Dry cleaning services
- Special care for delicate items
- Stain removal treatments
3. User Responsibilities
As a user of our Service, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
- Check all pockets before submitting items for cleaning
- Declare any stains or special care requirements
- Be available during scheduled pickup and delivery windows
- Report any issues within 24 hours of delivery
- Pay all applicable fees in a timely manner
- Not submit illegal, hazardous, or prohibited items
4. Prohibited Items
The following items are not accepted for cleaning:
- Items with hazardous materials (paint, oil, gasoline, etc.)
- Items contaminated with bodily fluids
- Leather, suede, or fur items (unless specified)
- Items with excessive pet hair or odors
- Heavily soiled items that may damage equipment
- Items of extraordinary value without prior arrangement
- Wedding dresses (require special handling arrangements)
5. Pricing and Payment
Pricing for our services is displayed in the mobile application and may vary based on:
- Type of service requested
- Quantity and type of items
- Special treatments or rush orders
- Delivery location and timing
Payment is processed through secure third-party payment providers. All fees are due upon completion of service unless otherwise arranged.
6. Liability and Insurance
While we take utmost care in handling your items, our liability is limited as follows:
- Maximum liability is 10 times the cleaning charge or ₦50,000, whichever is less
- Items of extraordinary value must be declared in advance
- We are not liable for pre-existing damage, wear, or fading
- Claims must be reported within 24 hours of delivery
- We maintain comprehensive insurance for customer protection
7. Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellation and refund policies:
- Orders can be cancelled up to 1 hour before scheduled pickup
- Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days
- Partial refunds may apply for partially completed services
- No refunds for services completed to satisfaction
- Rush order fees are non-refundable once processing begins
8. Delivery and Timing
Service timing and delivery terms:
- Standard turnaround time is 24-48 hours
- Rush services available for additional fees
- Delivery windows are approximate and may vary due to traffic or weather
- Multiple delivery attempts may incur additional charges
- Items not collected within 30 days may be donated to charity
9. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using our Service, you consent to our data practices as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Modification of Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting in our mobile application. Your continued use of our Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our Service will be resolved through binding arbitration in Lagos, Nigeria.
